Default Flaking wheels

I recently noticed my chrome wheels are flaking. I mentioned it to my dealer and they won’t replace them since I’m passed 36,000 miles. Anything I can do to get Ford to step up?

Not really. Your warranty is up, not worth the hassle trying to get something done.

You and everybody else with PVD wheels. I'm going to try the DYI fix mentioned above.

The way to avoid this is to avoid Chrome.

The painted wheels flake too... I had to have mine repainted. They are just like every manufacturer trying to save a dime by using cheaper parts/processes.

Never had a painted wheel flake on any car. Had one set of Chrome wheels, flaked like crazy, never again.

Got the wheels swapped. Trouble is they ain’t the right color. Looks more like black chrome. Thing is I kinda like them. So now do I keep them and try to find matching center caps and lug nuts, or return them.

I just went back out and noticed the 2 on the drivers side almost match

so which side looks better?
