Default Fix damage in bumper?

A wonderful stranger left a nice present on my front bumper while parked.

What's the best method for a semi-decent repair? Obviously taking it to a body shop and having it filled/sprayed would be the best (but also most expensive route).

Thoughts on using filler/touch up paint? I do have the entire front wrapped in xpel ultimate film, but that was damaged as well.

Touch up paint will work but if the metal is scuffed you're still going to notice it.

Sucks people do that.

Damn, that blows... Personally I'd have a body shop or Fords fix it.

I'd wait for a used one to come up for sale. Someone is going to want to replace their white bumper for an off road bumper.

Time to get a sensor-activated dash cam.

I have a dash cam, although it only works when the vehicle is on.

Maybe its time for a 4 hour relay.

Damn that sucks! I had my truck hit with it being two or three weeks old leaving small scratches on the corner of the driver side bumper. I was quoted $500 to have the bumper removed resprayed and installed including replacing the clear protective strips. I decided to live with it and try to repair on my own later on.

Good luck!

The part was $88.41, including shipping, the Ruby Red Tri-Coat was $198.26 back in June.

I pulled the cover myself, so the body shop could do an exact paint match, which they did.

Mine was deeply gouged, not repairable in my opinion. Yours is not that bad, you might ask a shop if it is repairable, and save an hour or 2 of labor if you pull it off yourself.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one!!!
