Sorry for the repeat thread and I am sure this has been addressed. Going in next week to throw on a set of 20x12's on 35's. Also I'm sitting on a 6" lift with crash bars cut out. Does anyone have pictures or can snap some shots of how much to trim.
Do you REALLY want 20" rims? I have 20x10 (35" tires) on my truck (+1 offset) and I'm going to 17x9 with 35" next week... the ride isn't as smooth as it used to be. Larger wheels also eat up some MPG and you feel more bumps. I'd go 18" if I were you.

Thanks for the heads up, Ford factory sends trucks out on 20's and 18's and I know they are only 8 wide but with a 6" lift and running 35 I manage around town at 16.4 mpg's and on the Hwy at about 70 I dial in at 19.4. That was on a road trip to D.C. from Va and without a tune. Not knocking the 18's on a 35 but I prefer the 20 and above and I still bury my truck in anything not pavement.
What da heck is a "scene point" you talking visual? If so I prefer the smaller rim look because the tire looks bigger (you actually get more sidewall a 35" is still a 35" but more side wall on smaller rims = visual effect = bigger tires)
My XLT came with 18" from the factory and I made the mistake and THOUGHT I had 20" so I matched that when I got my rim/tire setup. Realized my mistake later. So now about a year later I'm fixing that.
I dunno about the 20x12 though I'd do 20x9 or 20x10 personally as I don't like the looks of REALLY wide tires that stick out too far. Reminds me of the low riders.
I get 11.5 average but I have a 6" lift, full metal bumper, full metal rear bumper, light bars galore (adds wind resistance) and the 20x10s... if i drive on the highways about 13mpg
It's your truck just trying to give you advice on my own learning experience. I wanted a more beefier looking tire then lots of rim and a bit smoother ride so that's why i'm going from 20x10's to 17x9s (if they fit, we may have to do 18x9 or 18x10)
My offset now is +1
My new offset will be -12 whichi s fine because I have big ole fender flares now on my truck
