I must admit I stayed on this site for many months before getting my new ride. I finally made the move and now I have no idea where to start on the mods. Any help?
I'd start with your headlights. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Ford put those ugly crystal clear headlights on the Sport trims, when they put black housing ones on the previous gen FX4's. I bought mine through Ford, $400 shipped to my door.
Edit: I sold my factory headlights for $175 on craigslist in a day. So my headlight upgrade only cost me $225 and about an hour of my time. Super easy to do.

I would say say the easiest and best place to start would be mud flaps. Looks to me like a black truck ( I am color blind so not really sure) and the flaps definitely help keep dust and dirt off the doors and tailgate.
How much money do you want to spend will determine which mods you want to do. Leveling kit vs a lift kit? rims and tires? Bumpers? headlights? Bedliner or cover? The list goes on and on and if your like me you almost seem to just keep a running list of mods and never can finish it because of all the stuff you see on here.
You are 100% correct. I just don't know where to start. I think I want to do the headlight and the cover next. I am really struggling on what rims I want but a lift kit is a must because i do want larger tires. This is fun and stressful at the same time lol
i do have a spray in bedliner and the very first thing i did was get a smaller antenna. I am a little annoyed that I don't have front parking senors. it is 2017 and i don't have front parking sensors.
That question really boils down to how you want to use your truck and what's important to you.
I would drive it for a few weeks before diving in to mods and just make mental notes of what you would like to be different, where the truck is lacking, etc.
For me, after driving for a few months I noticed things I would not have thought of prior to purchase such as parking in low-ceiling garages... so no super high lift, etc. I also realized that while I hunt a lot, it was still very little usage % of my truck compared to every day driving, so some concessions were made in that area as well. I started very small with a counsel organizer, stubby antenna (which I since removed), LED bulb replacements, etc. These were changes that made a quick impact and were cheap and not necessarily permanent.
Then, there are much more common mods like air intake, tune, etc. that you can feel safe with testing and returning to stock easily if you change your mind. This is a good area to dabble in depending on your budget.
