I guess it would be important to know exactly what the "heavy square object" was. I mean, if it was something like a Liberty safe, we're talking 800+ lbs in many cases. "Heavy" is somewhat subjective, but when we're talking about a load in the back of a pick up, I expect "heavy" to be at least in the Liberty safe range. Also, in this case anyway, size matters. If the "heavy" object is close to the same size as the width of the bed, it will not do as much damage when swerving as an object that is just as "heavy," but is smaller and has some room to pick up some speed before it slams into the side of the bed. Finally, we don't know how fast the truck was moving when it swerved. That would also factor into the amount of damage that would be expected. Many variables to consider that are unknown in this case. At any rate, that sure is an ugly picture. I'd be sick if that were my truck.

i love my f150. i do have some doubts on body strength because i'm into it for 10 years.
believe me i would take a 15 + f150 over any 1500 anyday.

So i guess it's okay to not tie stuff down in the bed and blame the aluminum bed and not the owner!!!I wander if this guy works on his own cars if he tightens his motor mounts down!!!FWIW it looks like a floor jack was also in the bed probably not tied down either!!!!

its killing me to know what this square object was???!!! first of all, square slides, doent roll. Bedliner? must not of? And thinking of the severity of the swerve to create enough force to create enough inertia to not only slide the heavy object, but totally wreck the bedside AND return to the other side and totally ruin it too???? I'm not buying it folks.....

This is a great illustration of how much those crappy plastic tub liners will flex if given the opportunity, in addition to how easily things will slide across their slick surface.
Ratchet straps are your friend. I'll bet the owner of this truck will never make that mistake again.
