After recent update the tamp shows now when using Waze. Minor thing but it bugged the hell out of me because my Ranger had it since new, bought each a month apart.

Not sure about that because he said it was working on his Ranger but not the F150. If it was the app then it shouldn't matter. Update on the truck maybe???

I will say that as of the latest update from Waze the new feature I get is it was first completely gone from Sync. I uninstalled it and reinstalled. Now about 50% of the time when I launch it from the truck, it tells me it is the first time I have used Waze and I need to set it up on the phone. I unplug and go to the phone but it is set up already. So I set up my route on the phone and plug it back in and it works. So, that is my work around for that issue, I mean feature....

It seems like Waze has really been having issues lately. I even had to use my factory nav the other day before I got it figured out about unplugging it and launching Waze first.

 

The last time I used Waze it had me starting from 45 miles away from were I was at. When I looked at it, it started me at the last place I went using it. I have pretty much stopped using it, until they either support it and fix it or just turn it into Google Maps.

 

I understand. I have the same problem with both my 18 Lariat F150 and 17 Fusion. I have been depending on Google Maps lately.

 

Google should just bring the incident reporting that Waze has to Google Maps and then discontinue Waze.

 

I finally uninstalled Waze the other day. I love using Apple CarPlay for my Spotify but after the last Waze update, it would load Waze in the background in my phone every time I drove somewhere. I noticed my phone would be dead by lunch and I could see in the battery history that Waze pulled it all down by running in the background. Now I just use Google Maps when I need to go somewhere.
