Default Final Purchase Question

When you went to the dealer to finlize everything. If you used a credit card how much did your dealer let you place on the card? I love racking up free points.

Yeah will depend on your dealer. Ours didn't care and I have a 2.5% back on everything card, so I threw as much as I could on it.

My dealer had a limit of $5,000. Charged it all and earned $50 in rebates then paid it off when the bill came in.

$5K dealer imposed limits are pretty common. They don't like paying the fees.

they have to pay 1.2-2.5% of the transaction cost in fees to the credit card company - so most don't want to eat that.

On 15000 that's 180 to 375 dollars and I don't see them eating that - unless they tack it back on in your "fees" on the paperwork.

When Ive done it this is what they have done. They added a "Misc Fee" line to the paper work
