Yeah, Ford didn't do itself any favors with the 18" wheels when Chevrolet and Dodge pretty much come standard with 20's. Do what you want to your truck, it's yours and you should make it look like so! Personally, I prefer the black emblems, but my truck has more chrome than I know what to do with

No I like the platinum wheels and the lariat sport grill but I think taking the Badging to make it look like you have something you don't is different. There is no different look when it comes to the xlt badge and the platinum badge. Your just trying to make people think you have a platinum at that point.

To be honest. I kinda wish they would make a badge without the trim level listed, just the F150 part. That'd be cleaner and better, but that's just me.

whatever you decide to do I will let you know that fender badge is a pain in the to remove. The clips that hold it on, combined with the 2 plastic tabs and all the two sided tape will make you only want to remove it once.

I took mine off to paint them and will not be putting the clips back on. I think they will hold just fine with the tape.

here are the holes that will be behind the fender badges

They will pop out just fine if you heat it enough

Personally I wanted to just remove the emblems. Glad I didn't after seeing not 2 but 4 holes.

In your dreams perhaps....

Only way to get the clips out without breaking the badge is by taking the fender wells off and anything (everything) else that will allow you to access it from the inside.

Good luck

Will be interested in your results.
