I just ordered the Special Edition badges. I had done the same on my 13 and was able to disassemble them and swap the red inserts for the black factory ones which made the badges completely black. Is it possible to do the same with the 15 up badges?

 

Yes you can disassemble 15+ fender badges

 

Perfect, have you by chance seen a write up anywhere on how to do it?

 

Not sure. All i do is peel off all the double side tape. Knock off the plastic welds and they come right apart.

Yes i use gorilla glue. Not the one that expands!
