Default FCIM Connector problem

Has anyone taken apart the connector in the back of the FCIM where the wires come out at a 90 degree angle? I think somehow one of the pins has come dislodged and all of my functions on the bezel aren't working.

I've had the bezel off multiple times...and last time I did, it wasn't working when i reconnected it. Started messing with it, and after jiggling the wires boom...it worked. Now when I reconnect it, nothing. I'm pretty sure my issue lies somewhere inside that connection.

It's a strange connector, so difficult to decipher how to disassemble it so I can troubleshoot. I'd take a picture of the connector but I'm nowhere near my truck.

thanks ivan advance for any help.

There are a couple of tiny tabs/indentations on that connector cover pry out the tabs and the cover should slide out exposing the wires and pins.
I think I used a couple of micro flat head screwdrivers.

Check the backside of the FCIM and make sure no pins are bent or broken, also try disconnecting battery for 10 min perhaps that will reset

Forgot to ask why did you remove the FCIM in the first place, was there other changes, additions that should be considered?

ya. I've had it off multiple times. Currently in the process of a stereo upgrade with amps etc. But this happened initially before that. I replaced the acm so I could add Sirius a while ago. Everything worked fine after that for a while...then the next time I removed it for the current work the fcim stopped working.

hopefully a hard reset with the battery disconnected will work.

Perhaps ACM programming with Forscan? Did you replace the FCIM or is it original?

Just wanted to know if the cause of the FCIM going out was ever determined. My FCIM is doing the same thing.
