Default Favorite running boards

What's your favorite running board? My current 2014 has the round tubular style running boards, but looking at pictures here is seems as though the flat-style is all the rage for the current models. My 2018 should be here in a few months and will need some running boards installed. Looking for suggestions.

I have had the Steelcraft 5" Premium boards on my last 3 F150s, and think they are great. No matter what you decide make sure to price With Zach @ Realtrucks here on the Vendor showcase. Nobody could beat him!

Big fan of the Amp running boards, prefer the look of no board, with the convenience of having them. Have had Amp on last 2 trucks, now have OEM on the Platinum....

My new truck is black, so the running boards must be black as well.

I've got the gray stock bars on my 2017 Screw, but would prefer to have something similar to what's on the Raptor.

I have these on my 18 Lariat and they are perfect for me. Powder coated stainless steel with welded end caps. Perfect size for my boots getting in and out of the truck.. Passengers comment on how great they are when they use them getting in.

I think the OEM running boards on the 2015+trucks look geat. You could get a pair from Ebay for less than about $300. The Magnetic color would go well with your black truck.

This topic came at the right time for me. I hate the factory running boards. I didn't want the chrome package on my truck but they gave me a deal because this truck was equipped exactly how I liked otherwise. Today I was cleaning the truck and polishing the chrome. The boards are covered in corrosion that was barely affected by a lot of polishing. I'm looking to replace them, possibly with a matte black option, but I'm not sure how it would look. My mirrors would match as they are matte black too. Anybody have examples of trucks with chrome packages and black running boards?

I took off factory Lariat SE black running boards off and just installed Amp Research powersteps with LEDS. I love them.

Powered down.

Tucked nicely

I like any of the wide black ones that can be used extra length to provide a bed step !
