Factory Tune?
So I met this guy last week with a new Ranger and he's telling me about the tune bought from a dealer that's an OEM tune by Ford. He had a lot of praise for it but as you can imagine, all I could think about while he was talking was "do they do this for 150's or just Rangers"? I searched online and it looks like just a Ranger option but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask here for more detailed info about it. Thanks in advance.
hmm, never heard of it.
Welll, that would be a good deal if it was a good tune. After all, the option for that now is 5 Star tune from Stage 3 + their powertrain warranty, but those combined are going to cost more than $825 (though you do get the ngauge or sct or whatever in that price)...and a Ford factory warranty good straight up at any dealer would be more convenient than falling back on a third party

I heard about this on a podcast about the Ranger Tremor maybe 4-5 months ago. The guy seemed to think it was legit, but I don't remember the details. It seemed like a really good upgrade on the 2.3. Went from being a nice little powertrain to a little powerhouse and it was still under warranty.
I don't think they do one for the F150, but if I could stop by my dealer and have them do it for $825 without voiding the warranty, I would do it.
