I've got a new 2019 with the factory tow mirrors. These are the ones that manually fold and telescope.

While driving today I noticed that the passenger side shows objects wider, shorter and closer than they appear.

Could someone with these mirrors let me know if this is a manufacturing defect, or if indeed that is how they are designed to work. I'd like to know before I head in to the dealer and bring it up with them

I just look at my neighbors truck that has them, it does the same thing as yours.

 

Thanks so much for taking the time. This is disappointing, I was hoping that I could get it repaired/replaced. Maybe Ford has given it a lot of thought and this is better and I'll get used to it and appreciate the setup given enough time
