Factory sub

Thanks. I'm going to keep going checking the forscan thread to hopefully find a working value to use in the "As Built" option. If no luck there will have to request a return as this would not qualify in my book as a true "plug and play" part. For the money and time i've spent so far i could have already had a decent after market system installed.

Not sure if this helps I have an XL 101a. After finding out that the dash center has a pre wire for a center speaker I picked one up. After connecting it I did enable thru forescan. Nothing worked no sound I figured it was either not wired or it was a bad speaker. Later on I came across a Head Unit with Satellite connection head unit was cheap so thought I would try it out. After installing I thought I would play with the center speaker again and sure enough it worked. So I am guessing our XL base head units /ACM might be the issue.
I've done all the items mentioned (turning on one item at a time, hitting write, etc.) No luck.
I still remain suspicious of this being because I have an absolute base model audio system in an XL, but can't confirm this. Just frustrating as I didn't want to use an LOC for my amp.

I believe they are low level and here's why. I had the Kicker powerd sub in my '13. I bought the 1212 harness and adapted it to the harness for the Kicker amp then enabled the output in ForScan. when I plugged it in I could hear the sub making some sound but it was very quiet. Looking at the DSP harness on the kicker sysytem, the sub output comes out of the DSP (So I assume it's speaker level). I went to a local shop and bought an Alpine PWE-S8, spliced some RCA cables onto my 1212 harness and it works as it should. It sounds great and fits perfectly behind the seat.
Been reading this up and down. Need advice.
Got 4 gauge kicker amp kit to power amp. Going to use the wpt 1212 adapter into factory sub plug. Wire a kicker line out converter to 1212 so that I use the rca vs speaker level input cable.
Is that better? Using rca vs speaker level input or should I lift skip the line out converter and use the supplied speaker level input plug?

So it appears I'm one of the unfortunate few that even after enabling everything in Forscan, I don't receive any audio signal to the rear connector. The turn on wire functions as anticipated, but no audio.
I'd like to figure out the common denominator for the few of us suffering from this.
My truck is a 2016 XL with the base 4.3" screen and 6 speakers.
If anyone has an actual wiring diagram I could use to trace those wires back to the source, I would greatly appreciate it!

What is your wiring scheme? (WPT connector to high level inputs, WPT to low level RCA's, line level converter??? Something else???)

I'm adding an alpine mrv-m500, 10" Rockford fosgate prime rs2 shallow mount sub. Already enabled sub and 7 speaker option in forscan.

I believe if you enable the "Aux Sub" option the signal at the factory connector is low level and not speaker level. Therefore, you can take your 1212 harness and splice in some RCA jacks. (Someone earlier used a Rockford Fosgate pigtail from Amazon). There were some earlier posts that suggested if you choose "External Speaker" option instead, that the signal is speaker level. If that is true, then you could hook your 1212 harness to the speaker input (high level input) on your amp.

Homemade setup with JL amp. Used a multimeter/O-scope to verify no signal, so doesn't matter where they were going to be connected.

Kicker Hideaway 11HS8 Subwoofer
Just completed the Install of the Kicker Hideaway 11HS8 Subwoofer and I am very happy with the results. Plenty of Bass for me and sounds 100% better than Factory stock. In my opinion it sounds better than the Factory equipped Sony with the Kicker System as a friend of mine has a 2015 Lariat with that setup.
I bought the Sub Factory Re-conditioned from Hi-Fi Connection on Amazon for $149.95 and the WPT 1212 Connector from Amazon for $38.43 so I have $189 invested in a System that sounds much better than stock.
It took me about 35 minutes to do the install because I had some difficulty getting the Factory harness loose enough to make the connection for my harness to the Sub.
All in all I would Highly recommend it for a realively cheap way to boost the sound of your Factory System.
Many thanks to Lucas8888, NCRedneck, Livinitup(Forscan Thread) and the many others that posted information here!!!
