Both of these trucks are lariat Sport FX4's, I see so many trucks with the black centre in the bumper and lots with the colour matched paint right across the bumper.
Was this part of a different added package?

 

The first is the Lariat Sport package, the second appears to be a replacement grill or a painted chrome grill.

 

The second picture is my truck right from the dealer with the factory lariat sport package

 

They must have changed the some parts around, I have a 2015 Lariat Sport FX4 and it comes with the black in the middle of the bumper like the first and a slightly different grill. Mine does not have the slats in between the 3 large bars.

Actually looking at used trucks it appears to have changed in the 2015 model year. Here are two examples both 2015 Sports

Thanks, they are 275/65 duratracs, they seem to be quite a good tire so far. We get tons of snow and crap weather in Alberta and they have great traction.

Even if you google f150 lariat sport you find tons of pictures of trucks with the black insert and with the paint right across. Maybe the 2015 had he black insert and 2016 has the painted as you said yours was 15 and mine is the 16

Edit: Just saw your post, makes sense. Just looked up 2016 lariat sports and looks like all the 16's and some 15's have the paint right across

 

Its really strange, then you toss in these two also:

2015 is the only year that had the color matched end caps with the magnetic center on the Lariat Sports. In '16 they went to the solid color matched bumper.

 

I have a '15 Lariat Sport, built late in the year. It came with the black center. I've been told the '16 models came color matched all the way across. I recently replaced my bumper due to me putting a dent in it, and got it painted all the way across. I think it looks better that way.
