Default F150 EPS Stinks

I'm gonna have to take my truck back in to the dealer or find a really good mechanic who can make this stinking steering work. I've had it back to the dealer with the standard complaint of the thing steers like an old wagon with a bad wheel. It's just plain hard to steer and the dealer sends me the back the truck with the old, " Everything is working like it should"...I even contemplated spending over $3k to buy a PSC system but they've got zip for the F150, what I don't understand is, if a DIY guy building a rock crawling buggy can get PSC components to steer 42"-43" tires - why can't they put together components for my truck.

I'm a bit confused, are you asking why a company that makes hydraulic assist power steering doesn't have a setup for a truck that came with electric power steering?

Maybe take it to a better dealer or an even better independent shop

dohomerc - don't really understand your feigned confusion - the point is why a company like PSC can't put together a kit to convert the electric crap into a hydraulic something that works. Maybe that's a technical challenge I don't fully appreciate.

where did 1977 come from?

If your truck isn't a '77, what is it? Or, is it a wagon with a broken wheel. That is about all you said about your vehicle before you wanted help with your steering. Year, trim, miles, Diagnostic Trouble Codes are the thing people here use to aid in diagnostics. Help those that want to help you. Thanks.

It'd be a ton of parts for a minimal market. Hell even a lot of coyote swap stuff uses EPS because the alternative is mounting a PS pump where the AC goes I believe.

Is your truck bone stock?

Default Apologies

appears I need to apologize for my jumbled post. I do apologize profusely for throwing all that confused verbiage at you and for coming at this with the wrong attitude.

i have a 2020 4x4 supercrew fx4 package with the 10 speed 10r80 transmission. It has a 4" rough country lift with 35x12.50r20 Toyo open country m/t tires on Fuel 9" wheels. I also have a boosted performance (company) intake.

i have some mods planned but they aren't part of my hard-steering truck today. I've seen some of the more in-depth posts that refer you to the dealer/good mechanic that can reprogram the eas. I just had an alignment done and stiffness of steering persists. I've noticed that the amount of electric assist isn't consistent. I've never noticed a pattern. I had a 2010 Silverado that you could steer with one-hand and that was with 35's" as well...

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had a feeling your truck was lifted with bigger/wider/heavier wheels. I've never lifted a 13th gen F150 but I'd be curious what the tie rod angles are like with so much lift. Do you have any bump steer issues?

Do you have any DTCs? Did you change anything up front recently? If you lift the front wheels off the ground, is it easy to steer?
As a side note, I have a 2020 SCrew with FX4 package, 100,000 miles.
