I recently purchased a 2015 Lariat F150 Fx4. I ordered it, so I didn't see it before It got to the lot, I had to order it because I wanted console shifter with 40/20/40 in front with leather..
Now, when it showed up the front and rear bumpers are chrome, and i didn't order the chrome package, i'm thinking this is standard on the lariat..
What are my options for black bumpers, powder coated or black painted bumpers.. I almost want to trade with someone that wants chrome for black
That was my favorite part of the sport package the body color bumpers, If you cant find someone wanting to trade I would scuff them with scotch brite and paint with a good quality spray paint or bed liner, whatever texture you are after. Powder coat would probably the best and toughest way to go but more expensive
The scuffing is only to help the paint stick, I know they sell rolls of black vinyl on eBay. Maybe try that, you would have to use soapy water and a hair dryer to put it on without bubbles and make it shrink to Fit the round corners. This would be a cheap way to see if you would want the look permanent

I ordered my Lariat with the sport appearance package (body color bumpers, etc.) otherwise I would have ended up with the chrome appearance package. I also ordered the FX4 package which as you probably know now is just the skid plates shocks and decals, not a full-blown model of the F-150 like it was in previous years. I wanted my truck to look like the FX4's from previous years but had to specifically order it to make it all work out that way. I don't like chrome at all.
I do have leather buckets with the center console and shifter. I assume that's what you meant by the 40/20/40, or do I have that wrong?
