Default Extra part from factory?

I have a new 2019 XLT Screw with less than 300 miles on it.

I had been getting a very loud squeal at low speeds so I took it to the dealer. They said that they found this part that wasn't supposed to be there making contact with the drive shaft causing the noise.

Does anybody recognize this part? The dealer said that it was an "extra part". The squeal is gone so I believe that was the culprit, I'm just trying to make sure that I'm not missing a part that was supposed to be on my truck. Thank you!

I agree, but the sound is definitely gone. I'm perplexed.

Ahh
Looks the the optional Whizit was not connected to the Bimblam and this bracket wasn't needed, someone forgot to remove it.
Common mistake

I believe that called a whoziwhatsit. Looks kinda important...Hopefully it's an extra one that the installer dropped by accident!

That’s a Finnegan pin: part number FZ-4938-LPZ6.
Used during assembly to correctly index the capacitive diractance stator.

They likely just forgot to remove it.

No no no, that's a doomahickey. The doomahickey has 3 nuts... the whoziwhatsit only has 2.

Oh, duh! My bad... Thanks for clearing that up! My memory is failing me in my old age.
