Extra key
I had a great experience with Pop-A-Lock mobile locksmith service, their machine "read" my original key to get the key code, then cut a new key using that code (without my original key in their machine) and only charged $25 Canadian. Since it was a 3rd key I was getting, I programmed it myself with the procedure in the owner's manual. My truck is a '15 XLT, I had 2 "switchblade" keyfobs and wanted an extra transponder key but without the remote / fob part.
For $29 on ebay you send pic of existing key cut by text message, then mail in blank blade. Cheaper than local locksmiths and I'm in no hurry. In a couple weeks you get back your now-cut blank.
Fobs are on ebay for $50.
So all in about $80 for fob/key complete. Programming new 3rd fob appears to be easy if you have original two.
I'll let you'all know how this works out.

In such cases, you may want to consider visiting a local Ford dealership or an automotive locksmith who specializes in key programming. They should be able to assist you in cutting and programming a new key for your F-150. It's worth noting that programming a new key may require you to provide proof of ownership and the vehicle's identification number (VIN) for security purposes.
