Question Extended Warranty

Hello,
I have a 2018 Lariat trim and was debating on buying Extended Warranty
I'm from NY. Anyone have any leads on good warranty companies they have used in the past?
TIA

I bought my 2015 XLT 2 years ago and bought the extended warranty that the dealership offered when signing the paperwork and I'm actually glad I did because I've used it twice so far. The first time was to fix an oil leak and the second time was to fix my A/C which wasnt cooling. They had to replace the evaporator. Both fixes only cost me a 100$ deductible. I also used the remaining factory warranty 2 months ago to replace my catalytic converter which broke. Got it replaced for free under warranty. I've also enjoyed 2 years of free oil changes at the dealership.

If your 2018 is more than 41 months / 41,000 miles from in-service date, you won't be able to get a Ford warranty.

If it's under 36/36,000 it will be less than up to 41/41,000 by about $100-$200.

In reply to the above, zeigler offers a genuine Ford used vehicle warranty that covers almost the same as the original or esp. just requires a vehicle inspection.

Curious if you buy a warranty off Flood or Zeigler, will your regular Dealer know? and will they treat you differently than if you had bought it off them? I know they shouldn't, but if I have 1 mechanic, I know who's car is getting worked on first; etc.

Where you buy the warranty makes no difference at all. The dealer just sees your car is under it and the terms.

its a ford warranty no matter where you buy it…yes they can see what dealer you bought it from if they access the contract but no idea why they would…it just shows up attached to your VIN
