Default Exhaust

Hey guys, I had a quick question about exhaust. I've got a 5.0 and I enjoy the sound of it stock, but I can't help but think about making it sound just a bit better. I am looking for a mellow deep rumble, nothing loud or annoying. Ideally I just want to replace the stock muffler with another one that would give me the sound I want, I don't want a full bolt on system.I don't want to run dual exhaust either, I like the stock look. If any of you 5.0 folks have any input or experience I would appreciate it.

Corsa. It's honestly the best sounding system, it just sucks that it costs a Grand.

Had a Corsa system on my '13 5.0. It did sound nice. Installed a Magnaflow system on my '15 5.0. It sounds better. Of course, just my opinion.

Muffler and tailpipe on my '15 came off as a single unit. If you opt for just a muffler, it may take some custom work to fit it all together.

I have had magnaflow on past vehicles, it was nice. How's the sound inside the cab? If muffler and tailpipe installation how does muffler connect to pipe in front of muffler?

I'm a fan of Gibson stuff for Fords personally. Heard one on a truck at SEMA, and it was tremendous. I have pictures, but no video unfortunately.

I had a Gibson Super Truck exhaust on my '99 Dodge Ram with a 318CI engine along with a Volant air intake. It exited in front of the passenger side rear wheel. That thing was incredibly LOUD I used to set off car alarms when I was driving through parking lots. My neighbor across the street thanked me profusely when I traded that truck for my '03 Liberty. She said it used to wake her up when I got home at night. The drone inside the cab was almost intolerable.

I just put a MBRP with duals out the back on my 5.0 and while it sounds great, it's a little too loud inside the truck for my liking. It has a resonator that goes in place of the factory one too so I'm thinking they could have done a better job on that.

Does anyone make anything that leaves the OEM resonator in place and just replaces the muffler and tailpipe? There is a joint between the muffler and resonator so I'm surprised no one does that I could see.

The Magnaflow 19080 system that I installed, leaves the factory resonator in place; replaces the stock muffler and tailpipe. The interior noise is null at cruise and pleasantly mellow at normal city driving.
