Unhappy Is everyone's backup warning doing this?

My backup warning sensor/beeper continuously goes off when I have the hitch ball installed in the factory receiver hitch. It is a fairly short hitch and does not stick out far at all. The back up camera apparently "sees" it and triggers a continuous backup warning beep. If I take the hitch out while not towing it does not go off. Kind of annoying to have to remove the hitch whenever I am not towing, as I do tow frequently. Are all the new (15s) doing this? My 2011 did not.

When I had mine flipped up it did, after air bags I flipped it down and it does not do it now. Silly I know.

Yes, mine does it also. I just hit button on steering wheel and turn it off when hitch is in. Other than that, I don't know what else to do.

Mine doesn't go off...I don't currently tow anything, but I have a Conner dual-ball hitch mount installed (see link below), to protect my back end from texters/tailgaters. I purposely didn't buy the 3-ball hitch mount, since that one will stick out to the side, and possibly get too close to a sensor and causing it to go off.

I'm pleased with this setup because I need my sensors to work properly.

Mine does not. but I have the 2" drop, not the straight hitch. Stays in always, no problem.

i have a 6" drop or a traditional no drop hitch in all the time and have had no issues. I have also had my 6" drop turned up in anticipation of towing a heavy trailer and have not had this issue.

Mine does not go off. It's an extended hitch and has been in since day 1.

Unless something changed, camera doesn't sense anything. Backup sensors are in the bumper.

I haven't had it in my 12 or my dads 15. Hard to remember for sure though as we don't leave our hitches on all the time. Nobody here likes rusty *****.

Drop hitch here, no problems with the backup sensors.
