ESP Plans. Wait or not
Looking at FloodFords ESP plan. My truck is fairly new and still under warranty but are people buying these before their warranty is up or waiting until the last minute end? Do the prices for the ESP plan go up as you get closer to your warranty expiration? If so how much? If anyone has some solid info or experience on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Any additional options, like First Day Rental and Enhanced Rental options only come with the ESP. Good luck and enjoy the truck.
It really is up to you whether or not a $100 price jump after 12000 miles/12 months or a couple of ESP price increases over the years is worth waiting. Everyone has an opinion on whether or not the ESP is worth it. I will leave my opinion out of the discussion, but offer my experience.
I purchased before exceeding 12000 miles/12 months. My truck has been in for warranty service twice. One visit was 3 days and the second visit was 1 day. I elected for first day plus enhanced rental. The rental was warranty billed at $120 ($30/day). The same rental company wanted $47 per day (taxes included) if I rented independently (best discount available online). So, I paid $1890 (8 yr./100K) and recouped $188 or 10% of my warranty expense for rental coverage (18,000 miles so far). The truck is going back in for the moon roof rattle and a second visit for an oil leak. The oil leak repair will take a couple of days, so I am happy with my decision so far.
Good luck on your decision and don't look back.

When I first got my truck I used my disposable income to buy mods so it made more sense for me to wait and purchase ESP later. I just purchased ESP this week at 31k miles. Would have been 100$ cheaper to buy it before 12k/12mo marker but if you think about it you have up to 3yrs or 36k miles to save up and purchase. If you dont have a lot of disposable income why hurt your pocket book from now. If your good about it just set aside some funds monthly and just purchase before the 36k/3yrs.
