Default Errors on dash

Saturday me and my wife were going to town when I noticed a bump in the steering wheel. I turned into the store parking lot and heard a slight squeaking squealing noise and lost power steering. The messages are service stabilitrak and service power steering assist. This may not be what the actual message says but it’s close. I’ve done some reading and everything seems to go back to the rack. I was going to do the job myself but I was wondering about what Forscan tool I needed and cables and adapters. Thanks in advance.

There is a sticky for FORScan - at the heading of the section you posted in.
Post #1 describes what you will need.

I recommend the OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter if you will be doing any Forscan work. Seamless, no switch to move on it... well worth $50.

Yes, that's the one I bought from Amazon! I should have provided a link to save you some back and forth...

Depending on what you are doing and what features you need, you will also need a Forscan extended license. You can register on their forum and request one for free (good for a few months each time) or buy a lifetime license.

the main thing is fix this power steering issue I have. But I would like to add a backup camera and disable the double honk when locking the doors.

I use a $30 one. The switch isn't a problem.

I used it for about 2 months while making changes via FORScan and have not touched the $30 cable for about 15 months.

Mine was only about $20 or so and it's done just fine on my truck.
