Errors After Replacing Front Hub Assembly

Yes, we need to concentrate on the ABS C0031:76-ED code
C0031 = Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor
:76 = Wrong mounting position
-ED = 237 occurrences
Wrong mounting position — This subtype is used for failures where the control module detects incorrectly mounted components.
What is the manufacturer and the part number of the hub assembly you bought. It is still possible you got the wrong hub assembly.

OP, when you tried the old sensor, I'm assuming you had not cleared codes. Maybe try installing the old sensor, clear codes, and test.

Remove washer from new sensor and clear codes. If that doesn’t fix it then I would return complete hub. If you have everything plugged in then the internals of the hub are out of tolerance and the sensor cannot “read” the sensor ring.

Fixed!!
Warning lights are off and did not appear during test drive.
I installed the original sensor, removed the spacer and installed a washer with the little bolt that holds the sensor in place. Without the washer, the sensor would not completely tighten up (once the spacer was removed). I then cleared the codes.
So, I don’t know if the issue was a bad sensor/wire that came with the new hub (and this time installing original sensor worked because I cleared the codes) or if it was removing the spacer. In either scenario, there is a manufacturer spec or defect issue.
Thank you everyone for your guidance (and patience with my lack of knowledge).
I’m on to my next learning experience. Retirement is great (I don’t know how I ever had time to work).
