I installed the original sensor, removed the spacer and installed a washer with the little bolt that holds the sensor in place. Without the washer, the sensor would not completely tighten up (once the spacer was removed). I then cleared the codes.

So, I don’t know if the issue was a bad sensor/wire that came with the new hub (and this time installing original sensor worked because I cleared the codes) or if it was removing the spacer. In either scenario, there is a manufacturer spec or defect issue.

Thank you everyone for your guidance (and patience with my lack of knowledge).

I’m on to my next learning experience. Retirement is great (I don’t know how I ever had time to work).

I would guess it was a bad new sensor. Glad you got it fixed.

Retired, where every day is Saturday. Kinda got confused with all the input, not a bad thing. So. it seems it was a bad wire after all?

Nice work!! Now you are more familiar with Forscan.

Next step your tail lights??

The tail light is “on the list.” I flat tow the F150 with an RV, and I suspect the wire from the tail light up to the RV connection in the front bumper is shorting out. Or, it may be the diode that was part of installing the tow wiring. Funny thing, the signal lights work fine, but I get the fast blink on the dash. I’ve got some work to do on the RV before I get back to the truck.

Thanks again everyone. This is a great forum. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll be able to contribute.
