Default Error Code 2112

After a few min of driving my '15 EB it lost power, and went into what I assume is limp mode. Idling rough. Service wrench on dash as well as "Hill assist not available" or something like that.

Pulled over and shut it off. Re-started and it was fine. And about 200 yards later it happened again. Re-started and was able to drive it 5 miles to home without issue.

Plugged in the OBD got the "2112 TAC STUCK OPEN".

Cleared the code and drove around for about 15 minutes and seems good...for now.

Thoughts?

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2112, also referred to as "TAC STUCK OPEN," indicates an issue with the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system, where the throttle actuator is not functioning correctly and may be stuck in an open position.5This code is commonly associated with vehicles, particularly Ford models, and can lead to symptoms such as loss of power, rough idling, and the activation of the "Service Wrench" warning light on the dashboard

The truck is under warranty- hopefully including the TB. Just have to see if/when the code pops again and get it to the dealer. Looks like I can a new one for 150 bucks- but wonder if it could be something other than the body itself?

The 2112 code is a stuck closed indication.
IMO your not qualified to work on changing parts in a critical assembly that if stuck (open) from the work might be a catastrophic end to driving if the engine were to go wide open throttle.
Better to just remove the front hose and try cleaning it first or replace the whole unit for age.
Then do a reset on it. Yes, they need a Reset to get to all control functions from cold starts to hot restarts through all temperature ranges and emission testing done at cold starts.
The results of shut-down, clearing code etc are the effects of the casting cooling down, dirt etc. on the throttle plate, in the Bore as conditions change.
Good luck.

If I do anything it would replacing the entire TB unit as I mentioned.

Be lucky it did not stick ....open or you might have had a runaway engine if the PCM did not shut it down..
The Foot Throttle sends ...two different signal levels as a verification check and operating parameter.
If one or both is out of limits, it shuts down the TB for safety and or indicates the TB is not operating properly or if the signals are ok but TB is not responding properly.
A good Scanner looking at live data can see these two separate signals change value together, as foot moves the Throttle and see the results on a running engine or before starting.
The two values are about a 2 to 1 ratio as in a difference between 14 & 7 range sent to the TB electronics.
Good luck.
