Default Engine and Trans Temp Display?

First, I'm new to the Forum, so please no OGs jumping on me about the age of my truck or my lack of proper forum etiquette, like last time I asked a question.

My question: I'm trying to enable the Engine and Trans temp display on my 2016 F-150 Lariat's 8" gauge cluster. The actual temps, above the gauges. I've run FORscan, but my modules don't show the detail that I find on the spreadsheet that I have. my "configuration" menu gives function titles, not the multi-digit numeric "addresses" my spreadsheet provides. I've gone to the IPC module and changed the two values that appear to enable the displays I'm looking for and they appear to be "writing" to the truck, but no temps are displaying in my gauge cluster. My spreadsheet only shows IPC module addresses to change these settings, but again, it also only shows numerical addresses, not the actual function titles as listed in my FORscan app. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Is there a better spreadsheet to match what I'm seeing from my truck? If so, does anyone know where I can find it?

These are your choices. You have to pick out of the four depending on what engine you have and if you have a brake controller.

Default Thanks, but that doesn’t help

As I said, I don’t get those selections. I get the actual function title.

There are no selections. You go into the IPC and change the values manually to whichever corresponds to your truck. For example, I have a 2.7L with no trailer brake controller so I changed whatever values my truck had stock on the 720-07-01 line to 65, leaving alone any value where the "xxx"'s are.

Are you new to Forscan?

You need to click on the "As Built" IPC within Forscan. You can click on two different IPC choices and in order to get the ones above, use the "As Built".

I do not have those values/"addresses", only the titles of the functions. For example: "Engine temperature display" or "Transmission temperature display". Each can be selected individually and "enabled", but there are no address lines like you are describing. I've enabled both, but it didn't cause them to display.

Like the post says before you, it sounds like your not going into the "As-Built" IPC module. You have to select the line I have then hit the little "play" symbol in the bottom left corner.

It will bring you to this page. Make the changes from the choices in my first post then save them. If you look, you can see the 65 where I changed it on 720-07-01.

It sounds like you're new to Forscan. I would highly suggest you triple check everything you do, make a backup before you change anything, and maybe do a little more reading in the sticky Forscan thread if you don't feel confident in what you are doing.

Default Thank you

I get it now. You’re correct. New to Forscan and new to the forum. Where do I see all responses to my threads?

Pioneer, that was one of the most helpful answers I have seen on here in a very long time.
