Engine oil Analysis
I've never had one done but every time I see it discussed this is the only one I ever see talked about:

I have been using Blackstone for the last 15+ years and will continue to pay the extra coin for their service. I have used WIX a couple of times and the personal touch of Blackstone's reports are better to my liking.

I personally don't see why anyone would even pay for it. Being a manager of a mechanic shop... I get it... if you were running a 1000+ HP tuned beast.... Not a stock truck, tuned or what have you. I run motorcraft, have for years, never had any issues in over 1 mil+ miles. These new trucks are engineered so well and perform so flawlessly, I don't see the need to get it done unless there was a catastrophic failure and you are trying to blame the motor oil company for said failure.
When I owned and ran a fleet service business I used Blackstone. I did have a very inconsistent result one time. I suspect they somehow mixed up or contaminated the sample. Other than that it had been very good.

I'm with Fireimp141 on why?
Having owned several diesels we did it to see if we had injector issues, high fuel in oil. Honestly on a gas motor what are you looking for that will not show up by poor running? Bearing wear? So you go to Ford with an oil analysis and go to the service writer "my engine needs a teardown since I have high copper in my oil"
Unless you took it apart and modified it it is an absolute waste of money.

I enjoy learning about my engine and seeing the results at different brands or mileage.
I bought a flood ford ESP and will trade it in before that expires, so it kind of is a waste of money, but a fun learning experience for $16.

My biggest concern is with fuel dilution due the direct injection and being turbocharged. I'm planning to use Blackstone for the next oil change just see how's the engine and oil is performing.
