Default Engine Noise

2016 XLT V8 65k miles
I'm hearing what sounds like a bit of a "flutter." I sprayed the belt so I don't think it's that. Performance is fine and no lights on. Oil level looks fine and recently changed.
Thoughts? Thanks

Hard to say based on the video. Have you tried pinpointing the source of the noise using a stethoscope, hose and funnel, long screwdriver, or similar device?

Thanks for your reply. Been busy but finally got around to it. I used a steth and the area with the blue circle around it seems to be where the sound is coming from. And I'm including another link to a video of the noise that I took from underneath the truck. Drives fine. But strange noise. Thanks https://www.icloud.com/photos/#033Ul...uOvKw4r0Q-J9KA

Sounds like it's coming form the manifold...

IMRC does use a type of flapper valve inside the manifold. May be the source of the noise. KM

Sounds very regular, like a click with every engine revolution. Would a bad IMRC sound like that, or would it be more erratic?

Also wondering if perhaps it's just injector clicking. I noticed the foam sound damper on the passenger side fuel rail is pretty chewed up. Might be letting out more sound than normal?

No idea as I have no direct 5.0 experiance. Just now how the intakes work and the internal valves are there, plastic resin flappers in a plastic resin manifold runner. Have heard of the linkages breaking often. KM

It may be that one of the imrc valves has come loose on the shaft. It looks like you’ve somewhat pin-pointed it to the intake - I would remove it and inspect each of those valves to see if one or more of them are loose.

Yeah, I need to get a new damper. I've always wondering how that's gotten chewed up. So strange. I need to replace. Not sure re: IMRC. Need to investigate that. Thanks.
