Default Engine fan Really loud

Do all the Fords seem to have a loud cooling fan? After about 5-10 minutes of driving, the cooling fan kicks on. And its extremely loud. The fan will kick off and on, but its ridiculously loud. Is there a way to fix or adjust this?

Overheating? My truck fans were coming on like that after 15 mins and were loud too. After some back and forth with the dealer, it turned out that my water pump was bad, making me loose coolant, thus making my fans turn on. Covered by warranty, no issues since.

Good luck

Loud fans and water pump issues with these are common, unfortunately.

Is it hot where you are? A/C running? Stop and go traffic? If so normal..

I assume your fan is on high speed. First thing to check is coolant level, if it's low on coolant the computer will default to high speed fans. Add coolant to the full level if necessary.

When it's hot outside the fans will cycle to high speed for a while with the A/C on and sitting in traffic or slow speeds.

On Fords if the A/C is on the fans will always come on at low speed. On my truck, since it's cool/cold, I don't run the HVAC at times and since the fans aren't running constantly. In this case when I shut it off then restart it a short time later it will startup and go to high speed fans because of the hot soak.

I have also experienced high speed fan noise when it seems a bit overkill. Granted it was summer, late fall since I last heard it... but not extremely hot.. so I guess that is why it grabbed my attention. Other similar or even hotter conditions don't always create the same high speed fan condition. But we can't measure all the various engine, transmission, air, and cabin temps ourself and make the determination. So far have calked it up to normal operation.

Mine does this all the time. It can be 80 degrees or 20 degrees, the fan comes on way too often and is extremely loud. So loud that people at a drive thru can't hear me.

Mine does the same thing. It's so loud I can hear it inside with the radio on, and people standing outside will look over to see "What the hell is that?"

It may be "normal." Don't know. All I know is it's louder than any engine fan I've ever heard.

I have never noticed mine inside the cabin, and I live in hot TX, where it's over 100F for months straight. Maybe something wrong with it??? Take a video next time, for comparison purposes. And/or hear other new trucks to see if they make less noise than yours.
