Engine dying after pulling trailer
Just wanted to update, I made a few changes and the drive home was much more pleasant. I adjusted my wdh and that got rid of the sway issue. I dropped my speed to around 65mph instead of 70mph and I didn't use cruise control at all. This bumped my mpg from 8.6 to 11.6 on the highway. I also did not experience the engine idle problem I had. So maybe the engine was getting over stressed going 70mph with cruise control causing it to shift all the time.
I have a 16 f150 2.7 ecoboost and I am having the same issue whenever I tow my 29 foot snowmobile trailer for an extended period of time then shut it off to fuel, the truck will slowly die when it is restarted and continue to die unless given throttle. The truck will not die when not towing. No dealer has been able to figure out this problem and the truck has been out of service for 30 days now

I took mine mine into the dealer last week and they also did not find any issues.
I got blasted on here a while back complaining about this with the 2.7's.( by the 2.7 EGO boost fan boys) Dealer never figured it out for me, so I traded in all three trucks. They pulled trailers 5 days a week. No problems now.

What did you trade them in for? Curious if this issue effects the 3.5 as well and maybe it's a flaw with the turbo.
I'm not an ego boost guy but I do have the 2.7.
This sounds like a definite issue with these 2.7 engines. I'm following to see who finds the solution. I'm going to be towing a TT soon and don't want this to happen. Or it could have been a batch or something.
Interested either way.

I have not had any issues pulling my 12' enclosed Triton TC128 snowmobile trailer with the 2.7. My build date is 01/2016.
What are some of the other build dates that are having issues out of curiosity?
