Looking for better FE to save money? Seems like the hit you would take getting rid of your current practically new truck would take quite a while to recover from an incremental FE improvement. Unless you just don't like your current truck for some reason, I think it would be smarter (financially) to keep it a few more years.

I kinda figure this

My lease is up in May, I've had it for 3 years and engine knocks pretty badly ( im aware of the 5.0 knock) and have had a few electical issue over the years. The truck has shut off a few times while driving with complete loss of power steering. It only has about 25,000km's on it as well, I hope they take that in to consideration when I get the next truck

lol...ok then, important details! Then by all means, if you lease another new truck, get a 2.7.

5.0. Why? With the constant stop and go in city traffic with 2k lbs of load, your drivetrain is going to see some heat. I'm a huge Ecoboost fan, but constantly shutting down a hot turbo engine and then firing it back up to run to the next stop 30 x a day causes brutal thermal stress on parts. So much so you might be better off with a 6.2 f250. The n/a engines typically handle this scenario better. It's no coincidence that there are no Ecoboosts in super duties. That said, if you plan to buy a new truck every 80-100k miles or less, get whatever you want. If you expect to go 200k +, you will likely have a lot more headaches with a boosted engine.

knocking or transmission clunk? Knocking u will have to step up ur octane level .. transmission clunk is universal with all the 10 spd .. also if ur loss of power was an auto stop start error that’s universal across the engines .. I’ve had that issue 3 times so far

Only two engines available in that configuration. 5.0 V8 (Standard) and 3.5EB.

Edit: Gas Engines, I always forget about the 3.0TD.

Get the 5/0 with max tow and snow prep package and call it good.

Your all set up when you all of a sudden you need a backup snow truck.

I'm confused, you say you have had it for 3 years but your signatures lists a 2020 Lariat.
