This is not uncommon from a North to South one way rental. Tons of people move from the north to the south.

One way rentals from south to north are much cheaper because fewer people do it and they need the trailers brought back north. They give an incentive for that by making the rentals much cheaper that direction.

From Huston until north TN not needed depending on grade of mountain road you might.

I tow a 5k lbs boat 1000 miles a month with the 3:15 gears and it does well. Sticks in 5th gear more often since I put on the 33's but I still barely know it's back there. I average 11.5 mpg at 60 mph
