Default ECO Mode

I have been driving in ECO mode lately. Why? Because the ECO shift program is really smooth. With the normal or "S" I get ruptured disks. For the slightly less acceleration it is worth it for the smooth shifts. Try it and see!

Anyone else use ECO for shift smoothness?

I have to use it when Moma is on board because she complains about it from neck jerking and back pain she has.
It is in play in Wet/Snow mode to cool off throttle response as well a more traction control from the ABS system.
Goods luck.

Do you get better mileage in eco mode? (asking for a friend )
My normal is not harsh, a bit sloshy at times. My S mode, wowzee holds the gears long.

I don't like it in town, because it slows response to an annoying level in traffic, trying to get around slowpokes or drive up hills. I only use it on the highway, where it doesn't matter.

I use it all the time (except for when towing). I agree that it really smooths things out and usually see a 1+ mpg increase over "Normal".

This is interesting because I am looking to increase pressures in order to get more abrupt shifts.

You should have a 6 speed Transmission in a 2015 not a 10 speed.
The up shifts are a timing and pressure issue in the Trrans. control system, not just from the throttle response changes like being talked about.
Ask a programmer about that.
Throttle control is available after market in various forms from early to mid to later actions in pedal ramp travel response. It just plays fool the operator by the way it feels as it does not add power, only changes the feel.
Thats not what you're asking about.
Good luck.

This will all come from tuning. Once I upgrade a few things, I will be switching tuners and trying to get back to the "old days" when my transmissions had very little overlap and shifted quite firmly.
