Default Eco mode

Anyone use this? My truck (2020 subercab 2.7) stays at or just over 17 mpg. I have tried eco mode twice for several days each time. 18.7 and 18.4. When you need to go or come to a hill you have to hit the gas harder but still seeing a huge jump in mpg.

Yes, people use it. Many don't like the slower reaction time.

I use it on the highway when I think of it, because I find that ACC will speed up too quickly when traffic clears in front of the truck causing the truck to shift from 10th to 8th to accelerate. In ECO mode, it usually stays in 10th or drops to 9th instead.

Got a 2018 5.0. For some reason, normal mode and eco mode gets almost the same MPG's. But I have found out that when I use snow/wet mode my RPM's stay a lot lower compared to eco and normal, I average much higher driving in snow/wet.

With my 3.5 ecoboost, when my rpms are too low, I see the turbos kicking in, and that definitely is a gas sucker. I'd prefer a downshift. As far as ecoboost, I have never driven far enough to evaluate, or my gas changes or tailwind changes, and those are as much as a factor as anything else.

My truck (2020 subercab 5.0 4x4) stays at or just over 17 mpg also. I have tried eco mode a few times while city driving. Noticed how it keeps the transmission shifting to keep low RPM's. Doesn't seem to do much at highway speed as standard mode keeps me in 10th grear anyway.

I don't use it because I'm more concerned with oil usage and carbon build up due to constraintly running at low RPM's. I may wrong but I have always believed constantly lugging around at low RPM's causes damage to engine. Because of this I will run in sport mode for a few miles every tank full, hoping to burn off any carbon.

I use it all the time in my 20 5.0 4x4.
Tap the end of the shifter to eco and put it in drive.
I average 21mpg with the winter gas I'll see 23 with summer blends.
But I have to admit I drive like an old lady.

I just installed a shifter memory module so that It'll automatically return to eco mode every time I use the truck.

I rarely use it. Mileage may be a tad higher, but it's so unresponsive and blunted I only set it once in awhile when I just feel like driving lazy/eco and traffic and road conditions are good for it
