Default Dumb headlight Question

Went to replace my bulbs cause my wife said one was really dim. Well come to find out the internal housing is broke. Cracked right down the middle with no obvious signs anything happened on the outside. Idk what happened but looking at Ebay for some used replacement housings.

Can I buy the halogen black version instead of the stock chrome halogen?
Truck is black so it would look better, but i had no idea if i could do this without any additional modifications. Thanks

Assuming you mean the Special Edition OE housings? Yes, as long as they are halogen (halogen to halogen). If you switch to an LED housing it will either need a harness or a plug and play kit like morimoto

mans assuming it’s from a 2018+

yea idk what Trim or Edition they came on. They have black trim maybe smoked lenses.
I figured if I have to replace my whole assembly may as well do both and have them look a little better.
i really don’t wanna drop $2000 on aftermarket options.

yup those are the special editions, with the black inlays.. and halogen bulbs. There is a set on offerup in my area for less then $250.00.

the bulbs can be swapped out for non fan LED's with no modifications required.

i have my stock ( oem ) chrome headlights up for sale on offerup for $50.00 with sealight LED's. The led`s have been in them for about a year.

Pay for shipping and you can have em.

it should just say 2018-2020 not 2017-2020.

you switched to LED bulbs or LED housings? Bulbs are technically plug and play. Aftermarket housings are essentially plug and play…OE halogen to OE LED require a harness

yeah, you can change the halogen bulbs out with LED bulbs and they’ll work…the actual housings are just a little better, hence the price.
