Default DRL not working

I have 2016 KR and my DRL are not working. Canadian version so I cannot turn them off in the instrument cluster display. Is not an option. All the lights work manually but when driving, no DRL. Any ideas. Daylight sensor failure? Any ideas.

Check your park brake to make sure it is completely released. If it was a Sun Sensor issue your headlights would be on, your IPC would be dimmed, and your centre console would be in night mode (unless you have that turned off).

My headlights are always on in the daytime when in drive. Wish I could turn them off.

Not to derail this thread -but it sounds like you just need to a) turn off the drl system or b) turn the dial away from 'auto' mode.
Or your truck is broken, or manufactured as a Canadian build?

Are you checking when you are driving, or when you are sitting with it running in Park? Because mine only come on when it's in Drive.

I checked to make sure it was off (parking brake) but maybe its just on ever so slightly. I will check the switch. Good advice. Thanks.

I don't know but I do see many trucks, not just Fords and cars with the headlights on during the day. My Subaru is like that as well. Not all trucks though. My truck was built in the KC plant. I'm sure it could reprogrammed if Ford Service were willing. I don't use auto.

That one was directed at Russel -his comment about an opposite situation.

Yes that exactly. They come on when in drive, otherwise off. But why? I don't want them to come on at all until I decide when to use them.
