Angry Drl help!!!!!!

I have a 2016 F150 FX4, Built in Kentucky. I am trying to figure out how to disable my daytime running lights and CAN'T! I know most of you can go into settings on the dash and turn them off but my truck doesn't have that. I know you can do forscan, but I hate to spend the money if I only use it for that.I also know Canadian ones don't have the option, but as I said mine was built in Kentucky. I read somewhere an older model f150 unplugged the resistor to the DRL and that worked, but I can't find where mine would be.I have Anzo headlights and want to have the side markers come on without the DRL.

Thanks in advance for all help!

I bought my truck used and I also did not have the option. I just went ahead and did it the Forscan way. I got a usb OBD connect for like 20 or 30 bucks on Amazon so you aren't really spending a lot of money. Plus, you can do a multitude of other things including reading DTC's.

Not positive but can’t you just turn them off with the dash switch? If you can you probably have to do it on every restart.

I think you mean your truck was built in Kansas City. All the trucks are built in Dearborn or KC regardless if they are sold in the U.S. or Canada. If you're truck is a Canadian model then you can't disable the DRLs.

Just go to the forscan sticky and you will have more options to mess with than you know what to do with. Pretty much everything we want to change on our trucks we can do through forscan. The sticky gives you options for what obd2 to buy.

Go to Amazon and search “VINT-TT55502” and it’ll pull up. It’s only $19 and I haven’t had any issues with it. I’ve used it many times. As of right now, FORScan is free. Like others say, just go to the FORScan sticky and start reading. Everything you need is in the first post.
