Could it be the 'key' detection feature??? I always disable key settings. But the fact it's just the driver's side makes me think it's not that. But worth trying. I don't like key settings. Much prefer hitting a memory button when needed. Also state year of truck, so see if there's a pattern.

When you fold and unfold them the mirror shifts slightly.
Happened to my F250 all the time.

Not my issue.... I fold/unfold every time I park in or leave my garage as I don't want wifey catching one on the way in or out. It does not seem to "creep" after every fold but rather it is just suddenly "off".... usually down and out from desired position.... and it NEVER happens with the passenger side.... go figure....AZPLAT

Kind of random but related: will 2015-1017 mirrors fit a 2018 model? I'm replacing my passenger side as some bum smacked into it, busted it off the attachment for the most part. The 2018 standard heated w/spotter is $200. The same mirror 2015-2017 are about $150. If they're exactly the same, and my hunch says they are, I'll take the $50 in savings. For some reason, the 2015-2017 mirrors with BLIS option are cheaper than the 2018 with spotter, too. I wouldn't imagine I can plug and play BLIS mirrors, with the BLIS just magically working, either. Any help would be great. Trying to order the replacement today. Also, I couldn't come up with a fun enough story for the dealer to replace under warranty. "You mean mirrors don't just blow off? Weird."

From what I know on a 2018, you may have the temperature sensor in the passenger side mirror, so you better make sure before ordering. This isn't related to what is being talked about at all

Mirrors! :-/ I'll make it related: I have to use my own memory when folding mine in. Now that I currently have one, it's much more simple. Though, folding in the passenger side mirror when it is present is a difficult task from the driver's seat. This is a just a great reminder that my 2011 Lariat was still superior to my 2018 XLT.

Man, I thought my 15 Lariat was the only truck who had a worse memory than I do! My driver mirror only got wonky once or twice, but my driver's seat back is leaned back all the time when I come back to my truck. I press the memory button when I return, but its pretty annoying
