Default Drive Mode question

Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I've scoured the Internet today and can find very little information regarding the new "Eco" Drive Mode I just discovered on my 2018 3.5L EB. Can anyone provide any insight into what, exactly, this mode does? Obviously, it's for fuel economy, but I'm interested in what is changed when this mode is activated. Also, in playing with it, I noticed that it has to be turned on every time the engine starts. Is this normal, and is the preferred method? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking running "Eco Mode" would be the default. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Check the manual, it describes the different modes, there’s also sport, tow and wet.

I checked the manual, of course, and unless I'm missing it, there are no details on the modes themselves (only an overview of how to activate them).

Yeah, I found that earlier. It doesn't mention the Eco mode that I'm asking about.

I have the 2018 5.0 and I can tell you that in ECO mode it seems to adjust gearing. In ECO mode, even if I floor it the acceleration is VERY slow, attempt to get from 60-70 in eco mode and it takes a number of seconds. Does it save gas? Yes, so I did an ECO trip between home and work as well as a normal and a sport, it's not much but its a couple percent saved over sport and just a shy better than normal.

Other then that I havent noticed mich

The drive modes from what I gather is just modes for the transmissions (and probably computer/ecm or whatever).

Sport mode I did a video between normal and sport, small difference.

the only thing it would adjust is throttle mapping and shift points. It's probably really light on throttle mapping (i.e. takes a lot of 'foot' to get it accelerating at more than a gingerly pace) and skips gears like normal mode
