Default Double Honk

(2016 Lariat w/ push to start) There has GOT TO BE a way to disable the double honk when I get out of my truck with the engine running. I can’t imagine that someone who uses his truck for work doesn’t regularly get in and out of his truck with the engine running. It is the most obnoxious feature of the truck. Please help!

It's all right here in the first post -

This is the main reason I got the Forscan adapter - that dreaded double honk. Now that I have it I've done another few great mods.

Yep. Same here. The double honk is the worst. Forscan to the rescue.

But I learned the other day that my truck also has an idle timer and it shuts off after extended idles. I was not used to that and had to re-start the truck while I was working at the Valley Forge encampment/condo to set my tire deflators and using my SuperFlow tire inflator to return the tires to higher pressures and run the tires back down with the deflators. But now I am ready for the snowy trips across I68 in western Maryland in February through April.

Is there a way to do this without Forscan? Will a dealer turn this offer you if you ask?

about as annoying as the locked tailgate. you pull up on the ranch, leave running just gonna get something out of the back.
Gotta turn off or hit the unlock, minor but annoying. Putting in park should unlock even running.
