Yeah, how much of a difference did they make? I'm rather disappointed in the sound from this truck, even with bass turned up to max. My 2006 tacoma factory radio seemed to sound better.

Anything special used for plates or where they a direct mount. Also the panel for the tweeters on the rear door is it seperate? The reason I ask is if not I don't think I would have permanently mounted the tweeter as the rears are usually for fill. What were your impressions on just the speaker replacement?

I had 2013 FX2 and had system installed.
So before new Lariat came in I had system ordered and delivered. I did listen to Sony system before the aftermarket was installed. Just doesnt do it for me at all.
They actually had to use the factory speakers as the templates. So i have no factory speakers at all to sell. But i actually have the FX2 factory speakers. The new speakers sound great. The guy told me a new head unit would unleash my system although it sounds amazing right now. Tweeters are permanent.

Subs

Fits snug under seat

Fox box added more room for normal Alpine Type-R 10's.

Had to get better terminals.

That's a sweet set up, gotta hit hard. By any chance did you happen to see how those silver panels near the top of the door were attached or if they were a part of the entire door trim?

So the fronts are 6x9 and the back is 6.5 component? WHy not go component in the front too?

General Question for all: Are the speaker sizes the same for non-Sony System?

How does it work with the fake engine noise? Does anything need to be bypassed, or does the artificial engine tone come through the new speakers?
