Default Door lock - strange behavior (is this normal)

2016 SCAB XLT - my driver's door lock does a couple of strange things. It locks itself after 3-5 minutes with engine off and doors shut. Also, when I unlock with remote and then open the driver's door, the door locks when I pull the door open (the door opens, but it locks as soon as I open it).

I didn't see anything in the owner's manual suggesting this is normal. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I don't know what's going on, but that is definitely not the expected behavior for the locks. At the very least, not to my understanding.

That does not sound normal. If still under warranty take it to dealer.

I figured as much....appreciate the quick replies. Only had it 6 months, so plenty of warranty left.

Do you have the auto lock unlock sensors in the front handles?

No sensors on the handles.

Another thing I didn't mention, the driver's side door lock button doesn't fully extend when unlocked (i.e. it only comes up about half as high as the passenger side).

I swear on my 16 XLT something crazy was going on too one day. There are few limited settings you can change that controls how many clicks to unlock front or back. After I changed the settings back and forth a few times, and everything seems to be normal now. Also I've had both rear door locks freeze on me twice in the last few weeks. Super annoying.

There is a TSB on freezing locks I believe.

Thanks, I'll try messing with those settings to see if it gets things back to normal.
