Hey guys. Haven’t been on the forums recently....
I had my truck to the dealership TWICE for the frozen door latch problem.....they re insulated the handles and the inside door mechanism.
im still having issues!!!! The doors still won’t work right.....
what are my options. Anyone find their own solution ?

I just had almost the same thing happen with mine too, and also a 2018. In my case, initially it was the driver-side rear door frozen closed. They replaced all of the latches (about a year ago) and it had been fine. In November, the same door opened...but then wouldn’t close, so I used a ratchet strap to hold it closed; due to work related travel, I couldn’t get it in in a reasonable time. The 2nd time this happened I took it back in. Turns out the insulation around this particular latch had come loose and had fallen down in the door. They glued it around the latch and put grease around the area(s) where moisture can enter. Hopefully this is the last time I have this issue.

FWIW, this is the ONLY issue I have had in 2+ years and 30,000 miles.

I recently had my doors done with the recent tsb. Both front doors were starting not to latch early this winter with “not so freezing” weather! So far it has been good with the real early frosty mornings, freezing rain days, and overnight freezing temps.
Seeing how it’s a hit, and miss, wondering if it’s something to do with the technician/dealer doing the job/repair.
Time will tell how mine works going forward.
