Default Door chime

Hey all, have a 2017 F150 Supercrew Xlt 4x4 which I bought about 2 months ago.
I have been noticing the door chime usually sounds through the speakers, however periodically it doesn't, then defaults to the standard chime sound without going through the speakers.

Not a huge deal at face value, but wondering if it's a pre-curser to other electrical problems. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks

My `17 XLT has a "double" chime effect also. Sometimes its regular & sometimes its through the speakers. No problems!

You can set it in FORScan for the chimes to go through IPC speaker only. And/or disable most chimes.

I disabled the door ajar chime Thanks to the forum. Now. I'm trying to get rid of the key in chime without having to pull out wires.

carrierj -> Do you have the IPC code for redirecting the chimes to the speakers only?

720-01-01 xxxx xxx0 xxxx Chimes IPC Internal Speaker Only.

720-02-01 xx*x xxxx xxxx Key In Ignition Warning Chime (to disable, subtract 8 from your current value there) If it is an A make it a 2, if it's an E make it a 6, etc.

Take a dowel of wood and flip the door latch. No more door chime. I keep one in my "cup holder" in my drivers door for this purpose.

Thanks for the answer, carrierj!

I managed to turn off the key in chime with the IPC 720-02-01. In my truck's case, the value was C, so I changed it to 4.

I kept the the IPC 720-01-01 with XXXX-XXX4-XXXX. The 0 was redirecting the chime to the speaker in the steering column. I prefer the stereo speakers... just becasue I kept the doo-doo-doo at startup... I like it, and it remembers me it's a ford.

Thanks for help!!!
