Don’t blame Waze
Ever since Waze was added as an option to use with CarPlay I’ve had the issue of it grossly overestimating my speed. Waze nails my speed perfectly when I’m using it “stand alone” on my phone only.
Ive always assumed the problem must be some sort of glitch that happens when Waze is used with CarPlay. Nope.....
Just had a chance to try Waze on my wife’s TLX and I had no such issue. In fact, CarPlay in general is 1,000 times less glitchy and about 5 times faster in her Acura then it is in my truck. Damn it....

It is Waze’s fault. Problem happened after recent update. Was fine before that. Nothing changed on the Sync side.

When using with Sync, Waze has miscalculated my speed from the moment Apple allowed its use. I don’t recall any update were it changed. Again, it’s fine when being used in my wife’s Acura. Certainly there is some sort of Sync/Waze interface issue.

I am in a rental Jeep Cherokee and it is off by about the same amount as my truck is. I don't use it for my speed, but it does get annoying flashing at me.
