I have a 2017 F150. I'm not having any luck figuring out why the dome lights do not come on when you open the door. The manual switch works but not the auto. Any ideas??

 

If it's not new to you, someone enabled Dark Mode, i.e. Police Mode.

 

Its new to me. Had less than 2 weeks. I am the one that probably set it to dark mode but have no idea how I did it.

 

If you don't know how you did it, you didn't do it.

There is a button in the upper console, near the manual button, to turn off auto mode. When auto is disabled, this button should glow orange. have you checked that?
