2019 Lariat, 502a, max trailer tow. Remember back in the day when cars had carbs? You could turn the A/C lid upside down and get the induction noise at WOT. Well, my truck sounds like that when I open it up 1/2 throttle or better. Checked the intake to make sure somebody didn't leave a rag in there....lol. Does you 3.5 make that kind of noise.

Are you sure it is not the fake engine noise that these higher trims with the premium sound system come with? Or did they eliminate that with the 2018 B&O systems

How loud? A recording would help.

If it's substantially loud, check the air intake boot that comes up on top of the grille area. I was working on the truck, didn't put all the pins in, and went to dinner with the wife... I kicked it and got a loud sucking noise from under the hood. There's actually enough air demand from the turbos to try to turn that rubber boot inside out... d'oh!

 

I get a slight whistle sound out of my 2016 3.5 EB when I get on it, I figure it is the turbos I am hearing. Sounds sort of like the old flip the air cleaner top upside noise, just better.

 

Mine doesn't either.
It's quiet, with just a little turbo whistle(which sounds good)

 

It is the fake V8 noise over the sound system. But the remembered cars with the air clearer turned up side down when you let of the gas also made a gurgling noise from the EGR valve.

Put it sport mode, traction control off, auto 4WD and floor it. It is not your 70's / 80's truck anymore.

Had a 79 460 2 wheel drive and it was a blacktop monster and this 3.5 EB brings those smiles back.

My 2019 3.5 lariat's engine is pretty loud, esp notice in stop and go driving. Tried turning the engine noise off via forscan but didn't notice a difference.
