Does the type of bedliner make a difference for an aluminum bed?
I just bought a 2016 XLT Sport and I want to put a bedliner in ASAP, but I'm wondering if there's a major difference between the spray in and drop in bedliners. My thought is that a drop in my absorb more shock for anything that gets dropped into the bed where as a spray in might dent easier. What are your thoughts on the subject? Also, what's a good price for your recommended option?
Thanks

Ineed regards to the bedliner it really depends on what you see yourself using the bed for.
I just sprayed in a Line-X liner a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
I can only speak to the Line-X that it will absorb a lot of punishment that in not sure a drop in would.
Here in Ontario a Line-X will run you roughly $500.
Get a good spray liner, like LineX. Then if youd like a rubber bedmat, to keep stuff from sliding. You can get a deezee mat for 80.00 online, the linex starts around 425.00 and above depending on bed size

My truck is getting a Line-X liner right now. I am actually waiting for the person to finish. There's a black friday deal going on. it's $25 off. $470 total here in california.
I have a drop in, as it was a no charge add on to the truck when I bought it. I keep a 4x8 piece of plywood in the bed (8 ft bed) and I'm protected at minimal cost.
I think the spray in looks nicer, but nobody can see my bed liner (and plywood) as I have a cap over the bed.
Mine is a work truck, so a lot of heavy stuff gets heaved back there.

I have used Rhino spray in bed liner for my last few trucks and have always been pleased. I had my 07 Silverado for just over 6 years before I bought a 2013 and then a 2016 Ford F-150 and have never had an issue.
In my research on this topic, people prefer the spray in well over the drop in bedliners. Also some people prefer bed rugs and mats as they can be less expensive and lighter weight. I most likely will go with a rug or matt, though I wont use a bed as much as others.

I just did Line-X in my new 2016 Lariat and it's fantastic. Much tougher than a drop in. I also ordered the factory bed mat to keep my cargo from sliding around. And on top a Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite tonneau. It's a perfect setup for me now.
